Insanity

Literally. These program is insane. After I get through the warm up, I want to pass out and puke everywhere. So basically, I have yet to get past the warm up. Maybe that should be my goal. But here are my results from my fit test, and in two weeks, I will try again!

Switchkicks 56
Powerjacks 23
Power Knees 53
PowerJumps 35
Globe Jumps 8
Suicide Jumps 14
Plank obliques 40

Ok. Only thing stopping me is a toddler who doesn't take long naps and feels the need to come sit on me while working out. IN two weeks, I will try these again and see if I've gotten any more fit.

I've heard that it's a really rough workout. But if it's doing you in like that, it must be good - even if it's just the warm-up. I'm interested to see how you do in 2 weeks.

Yikes I'm sweating just from reading it! Oh and just so you know, I'm pretty sure a single person can only do ONE suicide jump. Just saying. :)

Oh man. Insanity sucks. Be careful, I almost injured my hammie(something I am still sort of nursing). GOod job though!

Wow! Good luck! I hear you with the toddler interrupting your workout. I generally have to pause my workout dvds a few times while I take care of my kiddos. I'm excited to hear how it goes!

I LOVE to work out but I tried the insanity and did not like it. It was not my style at all. It seemed way to hard on my joints. If you have a toddler and have a hard time finding the time to work out you can incorporate her into your work out. You can chase her around or let her chase you for two hours at home AND she'll be worn out and take naps. It's EASY to work out if you're active I mean (super active) with your child. (I should add that I suck at this and don't do it very often) But either way it's a great way to get around the kid dilemma. You have interaction time with your child AND work out at the same time. You can set your timer when you start "active play" and keep it going for an hour so you don't slip into normal activities like making dinner or cleaning or watching t.v. but actually focus for an entire hour on playing tag or airplane or whatever you come up with. If you try it, let me know how it goes. I wish I would have done this when Elsa and Kajsa were young, but I always wanted to go out to the gym instead. Actually I should do it now, they'd still love it. I think I'm rambling now......good luck
