Serious
Okay, it's really time to get serious again.
Seriously.
'Cause I can't just let myself go.
It took too much work getting myself where I was.
Seriously.
And now it's the holiday season and I can just see myself beginning to spiral.
There is a bit of a problem with my workout schedule. My son is starting to have appointments and they all seem to be in the morning, when I would regularly work out. I just hope that it slows down soon...although it doesn't seem likely.
So I'm going to start by getting a handle on my diet again. Starting tomorrow I'm going with no sugary items for 2 weeks.
It's going to be rough.
Just for my own sake I'll spell it out: candy, baked goods, and soda.
But hopefully it weans me off my need for sweets.
Wish me luck and stick with me. I really need your support to keep me honest!

Weigh In
Whew!
This morning I weighed myself and was 184.
That's a least a little better.
It's amazing what a week of less junk and little movement can do.
I'm back on the path to lower weight once more.
Hurray!

The Goal
We made it!!
Chelsey's wedding was a couple of weekends ago.
Congratulations Chey!!!
She is now a married lady.
And she looked SO fabulous for her wedding.
While at her wedding location, we compared weights and discovered that we were both right around 175.
We decided it was too close to call an official winner.
We were both equally awesome and we did a happy dance to celebrate our amazingness.
Go us!!
And then I did it. I messed up.
BIG time.
I've reached my goal. I told myself. I've worked so hard and I deserve a break while on this vacation.
And so I took a break.
Cake. Candy. Coke. Coke. Coke. Candy. Eating out. Fair food. Eating out. Ice Cream. Coke. Candy. Cookies. Snack food.
You get the idea.
I really let loose.
Like, seriously.
It's okay. I'm on vacation. I've made my goal. I can easily make it back up again when I get home.
And so this morning I weighed myself. My usual morning routine.
My. jaw. hit. the. floor.
189
What??
Seriously??
Oh. my. goodness.
I totally didn't even want to tell you that weight. I wanted to lie. To fudge it a bit. What if I just said I gained a few pounds and left it at that?
But then there would be no accountability for what I've done.
Did I really just gain almost 15 pounds in 2 weeks?
Did I really just throw MONTHS of hard work out the window for a few (*ahem* many) guilty pleasures?
I feel dumb.
I want to cry.
I want to break my scale.
But instead, I woke up early this morning and worked out.
I have done it before and I'll do it again.
And so now I'm back for a bit.
Back to working out.
Back to watching what I eat.
And back to doing weekly weigh-ins on our little blog here.
Because it's what keeps me honest through the week- my dedication to honesty with all of you.
Here I go again...

Vacation is Bugger
Okay, not really. Vacation is wonderful and fabulous and amazing!
It's just not so good for the whole keeping-weight-down thing.
It's like the parents are out of town and I'm staying with the grandparents. In other words, nobody was spanking those pounds. Haha!
So much good food. So many amazing feasts. So many good reasons (and not-so-good-reasons) to pig out!
I am sad to say that when I got home from my vacation I was 179 lbs.
YIKES!!!
Boy that snuck up awfully fast.
Then it was my birthday week.
Giant leftover cake. Not good.
And now I'm back to being good. I've worked out 3 of the last 4 days and started to edge down the portion sizes once again.
I'm definitely going to have to do better on our August vacation so that this doesn't happen again.
Wish me luck!!

Chelsey - week ... something Weigh in, PLUS TIPS: Counting Calories
Hello all!
Since Sara has basically given up, (just teasing Sara) I guess its my turn to start posting every week, that is if anyone is even still following this.
My weigh in this week:
178.2
Yep. I dont remember my weigh in last week, but I think its like a pound or something. Not bad.
Thats 18 pounds lost! And only 13 more to go by August! It would be great to go back to my old 155, but if I make it to 165, I will be more than thrilled.
SO some tips, I know Counting Calories is a big fat pain in the butt, but you really dont have to do it forever. If you have never done it before, try it. Jsut for two weeks. I posted everything I ate and the calorie amount on the fridge every day so I could see where I was. It just makes you more aware of what foods are high in calorie and how much youa re actually eating a day. If I dont diet, I usually consume around 2500, thats way more than I should be. So now I ry to stick around1200 to 1400. But again, Im not counting anymore, but I am aware of around where Im at since I now know what things Im eating and what their calories are.
Okay, thats all for now. Next weeks goal is 176. But for right now, I fit into my old shirts!!! and that makes me happy. Not all of them, but some, its like a whole new wardrobe!

Sara Weigh In
Hello all! I have been a tad bit of a slacker. But here's the thing, I've been weighing myself often and it's still the same. I hover now around the 170 point. I've gotten to 169. Then back to 170. Then up to 172. Then back to 170.
So I just figured that was kind of boring. A whole lot of me at the same weight, there's not really much to tell. And really, I'm okay with that.
Would I love to lose more?
Yes.
But is that sustainable?
Probably not.
Which is really, kind of the point, right?
So we'll see. I promise to let you know if I gain or lose any more. But for now I am at 170 and it seems likely that's where I'll stay.
